Assistant Network Administrator

Assistant Network Administrator candidates should have strong problem solving skills with at least one year of recent hands-on experience (and/or relevant coursework) related to supporting and troubleshooting computer hardware and Windows operating systems as well practical knowledge of typical networking environments and technologies.

Primary Responsibilities:
· Assist in providing PC, network and peripheral (e.g., printing) support related to software and hardware issues reported by users.

· Configure and deploy both physical and virtual machines (Windows Hyper-V) including operating systems, service packs and any software needed to serve end users.

· Possess an adequate and growing level of knowledge of operating system and application software in order to provide high levels of technical support to the IBS staff.

· Add and maintain users via Active Directory on the network; grant application, data and peripheral access, while ensuring security and maintaining configurations within agreed standards.

· Perform daily network backups including changing tapes, reviewing logs and troubleshooting failures.

· Help maintain our Asterisk based VoIP phone system, including deploying IP phones to new users.

· Administer the Exchange Server environment including setting up mailboxes, configuring Outlook and setting up mail-enabled devices such as smart phones.

· Help deploy, configure and maintain network access technologies to enable users to work remotely, efficiently and securely.

· Collaborate with the senior Network Administrator on a range of things including network troubleshooting, upgrading infrastructure, improving processes, and employing new technologies to enhance network performance, reliability, disaster recovery and end user experience.

· Carry out other such duties as may be assigned or requested.

Skills/ Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Information Technology or related discipline
  • Solid experience with various versions of desktop and server Windows operating systems
  • Hands-on experience with PC and networking hardware
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to integrity
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills
  • A+ Certification and/or Network+ Certification (or comparable experience) preferred
    Knowledge of Linux, VoIP telephony, and especially Asterisk-based PBX system is a plus

The Programmer Analyst will be responsible for developing ASP.Net MVC web applications with and without defined specs, implementing client side web interactivity, and working with the team to identify and implement improvements.

Minimum Requirements:
·Strong communication and interpersonal skills

·Current with changes in web development trends and practices
·Good problem solving and debugging skills
·Good commenting/documentation skills

Experience with the following are desired:
·Background in C# .Net development (framework 4)
·ASP.Net MVC 3+ development
·JavaScript and jQuery
·Winforms
·WCF services and Kendo UI
·Cross-browser and mobile HTML, CSS, JSON/AJAX
·The ability to create and consume MS SQL Server 2008 stored procedures and functions

Responsibilities:
Candidates should have strong problem solving skills with at least one year of hands-on experience (or relevant coursework) related to supporting and troubleshooting computer hardware, software, databases and networking technologies in a help desk environment. Outstanding customer service and communications skills are a must! Technology industry certifications and experience using and supporting Microsoft SQL Server are preferred. Experience in the hospitality industry, knowledge of accounting principles or Spanish language skills are a plus. Key areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to: supporting customers in proper use of Integrated Business Systems’ software, clearly communicating complex technological concepts to end users of all skill levels, and accurately documenting support incidents within a call tracking system. Frequent interaction with customer support representatives, developers, and managers is required.
