Thomas Smith Joins the IBS Team
RICHMOND, VA (April 22, 2013) – IBS, a software and services company serving the technology needs of the club industry for over 20 years, announced today that Thomas G. Smith has assumed the role of Vice President of Marketing. When accepting his new role, Tom affirmed that his goal is “to make IBS software the first name that comes to mind when choosing the perfect solution for any club.”
Tom comes to IBS with an impressive resume of club experience. Over the past 23 years, his responsibilities have run the gamut from banquet management to serving as CFO of three private clubs. Adding to his credentials, Tom is a former President of Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP), has been an active member of the Wisconsin Badger Chapter of CMAA for the last twelve years, and served as editor of the Uniform System of Financial Reporting for Clubs, a highly respected manual in the club industry. He is also the Chair of the Golf 20x committee, which finds technology for the “golf course of the future”. This exhibit will be showcased at the HFTP Annual convention in Dallas in October.
